Poll reveals 81% of nationalists and 76% of unionists are against idea

Almost three quarters of NI people said they would not support the government’s BritCard digital ID scheme .
Almost three quarters of people living in Northern Ireland do not wish to see the Government’s ‘BritCard’ digital ID scheme introduced here, according to the latest polling from Lucid Talk.
Plans to develop the card were announced by Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer last month, with opposition from all of Northern Ireland’s political parties.
